A Hub for ICPC Regional Contests

Since 1999, Tehran has been hosting an ICPC regional contest in West Asia. The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is the largest programming contest among university and college students in the world. Teams of three, representing their respective universities, collaborate to solve real-world problems, promoting teamwork, creativity, innovation, and the ability to perform under pressure. Through rigorous training and competition, these teams push each other to achieve new heights. It is indeed the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world.

The 24th Regional Contest in Tehran took place on May 30-31, 2024, with over 80 teams of three students participating. The winning team from Sharif University of Technology advanced to the 48th ICPC World Finals in Astana.
